Today’s Best Cruise Deals: Bahamas From $49 a Night, and CocoCay for $77

Saturday is cheap-seats day at Cruise Chaos: Caribbean and Bahamas sailings for under $100 a night. This morning there is a line we have never covered advertising Bahamas cruises from $49 a night, two new Royal Caribbean fares, and one of this week’s bargains quietly going back up.

Every price below was checked on September 19, 2026, directly on each cruise line’s site (Disney’s rates come via the Disney Cruise Line Blog, which tracks them weekly). Three sales end inside the next five days, so this is a decision weekend rather than a browsing one.

⭐ Deal of the Day: 4 Nights to CocoCay at $77 a Night

Royal Caribbean still lists this one from $307 per person — about $77 a night, and the cheapest per-night fare on any page we opened this morning. It fell from $382 on Tuesday and has now held at $307 for a third straight day, which usually means the line has found its price rather than started a slide.

1. Margaritaville at Sea: Bahamas Cruises Advertised From $49 a Night

Compare only the big four and you miss the bottom of the market. Margaritaville at Sea runs three ships — Paradise from the Port of Palm Beach, Islander, and the new Beachcomber, due to sail from PortMiami and Galveston in 2027 — on 2- to 10-night runs to Key West, the Bahamas and Mexico. Today its own site advertises:

• “Fall Getaways to Paradise,” starting at $49 a night.
• “Warmer Days Ahead,” cruises from $59 a night with free extras.
• “Weekend Escapes to the Bahamas,” from $149 for the whole sailing.
• A Heroes Sail Free offer for eligible military.

Watch for: these are headline numbers, not quotes. The pages attach none of them to a named ship and sail date, state no expiry, and never say whether taxes and fees are inside the figure. Treat $49 as the doorway price for a midweek shoulder-season cabin. See Margaritaville at Sea’s deals →

2. Royal Caribbean: Two New Fares, and One That Went Back Up

The Fall Frenzy Sale banner is unchanged — “up to $900 off,” “up to $100 off on short getaways” and “3rd and 4th guests sail free” — and Crown & Anchor members earn 2X points on select sailings booked September 9 to 21, 2026. Two sailings appeared today that were not on the pages yesterday:

• Allure of the Seas, 3 nights, Bahamas & Perfect Day, from Miami, January 18, 2027: from $325 (about $108 a night) — a long weekend on an Oasis-class ship.
• Allure of the Seas, 6 nights, Perfect Day at CocoCay & Caribbean, from Fort Lauderdale, September 26, 2027: from $783 (about $131 a night).

And the correction to this week’s story: Freedom of the Seas, 5 nights, Perfect Day at CocoCay & Bahamas, from Miami, October 17, 2026, is $369 today — about $74 a night, still good, but $20 more than yesterday. It was $424 on Tuesday and $349 on Thursday and Friday. Cheap fares do not only travel downwards.

3. Celebrity: The Sale Stops at 11:59 p.m. Monday

Celebrity is running 75% off your second guest’s fare with third and fourth guests sailing free on select departures, and its last-minute page, “Final Rooms at GREAT RATES,” states a cut-off of 11:59 p.m. EST on Monday, September 21, 2026. Celebrity’s prices include taxes and fees, which makes them the easiest here to compare. Two sailings are new today:

• Celebrity Xcel, 7 nights, Bahamas, Mexico & Grand Cayman, from Miami, March 28, 2027: $929 per person (about $133 a night, taxes included) on the line’s newest ship.
• Celebrity Beyond, 7 nights, Grand Cayman, Mexico & Perfect Day, from Miami, September 20, 2026: $1,340 per person (about $191 a night) — it sails tomorrow, which is exactly why it is not cheap. Real last-minute bargains land four to eight weeks out.

4. Princess: The Flash Sale Has Two Days Left

Princess’s Weekend Flash Sale — “Up to $400 Instant Savings + Up to 40% Off”, plus up to $100 onboard credit per stateroom, free third and fourth guests on select sailings and $99 deposits — is bookable on September 18 to 21, 2026 only. It covers the Caribbean, Alaska, Europe and Mexico, and Princess’s prices include taxes and fees.

Watch for: it is capacity-controlled and limited to North American residents aged 21 and over, and Princess excludes world cruises, full suites, Sanctuary Collection staterooms, voyages of 45 days or more and anything past final payment. See Princess deals →

5. Holland America: Up to 50% Off Tropical Cruises, Book by Wednesday

“Save on Sunshine: Up to 50% off Tropical Cruises” adds up to $200 onboard credit per stateroom on Fall 2026 to Spring 2027 sailings across the Caribbean, Mexico and the Panama Canal, under deal code SOS26. Holland America calls it “one week only” and gives a book-by date of September 23 — Wednesday. It lists no sample sailings, so price a specific cruise with and without the code.

One more clock: Carnival’s Cruise Value Packages (drinks, Wi-Fi and the $25-a-day kids’ bundle) can only be bought through September 30, 2026, and they work on a cruise you have already booked. See Holland America’s deals →

6. Disney: Bahamian and Caribbean Rates for Residents and the Military

Disney does not do sales, it does eligibility. The Disney Cruise Line Blog counted 141 sail dates with offers as of September 14, 2026. The warm-weather standouts (per person, per night):

• Disney Dream, 7-night Eastern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, October 2, 2026: $188.30 for U.S. military, $201.75 for Florida residents — roughly $1,318 per person for the week on the military rate.
• Disney Destiny, 7-night Eastern Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, December 12, 2026: $229.45 military, $247.10 Florida resident.
• Disney Destiny, 5-night Bahamian from Fort Lauderdale, November 25, 2026: $288.60 military, $310.80 Florida resident, over Thanksgiving.

Watch for: these rates need proof of eligibility at check-in and availability is capped per sailing. Disney also sells a different product — soft drinks and kids’ clubs included — and charges accordingly.

7. Virgin Voyages: 70% Off the Second Sailor

Virgin’s adults-only Caribbean sailings carry 70% off the second sailor plus instant savings that scale with length: up to $250 on 4- to 5-night voyages, $500 on 6 to 9 nights, $750 on 10 to 13, and $1,000 on 14 or more, for departures between September 1, 2026 and October 28, 2028. It also stacks rates most lines bury — Northeast resident and military or first-responder rates of up to 15%, and an extra 10% for paying in full. See Virgin Voyages’ deals →

The Discount Most Cruisers Never Claim

Look again at the Disney list. A military family pays $188.30 a night for that October Dream sailing; a Florida family pays $201.75; everyone else pays the published fare. Resident, military, first-responder and teacher rates are the biggest discount most people never ask about, and they are almost never on the main deals page.

1. Check whether you qualify first. Military, first responders, teachers, students, seniors and residents of particular states all get their own rate codes. Norwegian lists military, teacher and first-responder discounts; Princess advertises up to $250 in onboard spending money for the military.
2. Search with the code, not without it. These fares sit behind a separate booking path or a promo code, exactly like Holland America’s SOS26. A normal search quietly shows you the normal price.
3. Bring the paperwork. Proof is checked at the pier, not at booking. Turn up without a licence showing the right state, or the right military ID, and you pay the difference.
4. Expect limited inventory. Lines cap how many cabins per category go at these rates, which is why the good dates vanish first.
5. Do not assume it stacks. A resident rate often replaces the headline sale instead of adding to it. Price it both ways: 75% off the second guest can beat a resident rate for two sharing a cabin, and lose badly for a solo traveller.
